Questions
- How do we sometimes try to excuse or explain away the failures of leaders? What does the case of Judas teach us about such efforts?
- How did Judas try to use Jesus and his ministry instead of loving and serving Jesus?
- Both Peter and Judas were close to Jesus, and both men failed Jesus. What is the key difference in how they responded after failing Jesus?
- Reflect on Judas, his person and his work. How did he get to where he ended up? What were the seeds of discontent in his soul? Are any of those present within you? If so, will you respond to failure like Judas, or like Peter?
