Men as Prophets, Priests, and Kings
Genesis 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. (He was priest of God Most High.) 19 And he blessed him and said, [prophet] “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; 20 and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!”
Prophet
- Your strength is preserving truth and facts
- You have a strong sense of right vs wrong
- You are willing say hard things
- You have a sense of urgency
- You get a strong positive or negative reaction from people
Priest
- Your strength is caring for people
- You have a strong sense of mercy, empathy, and compassion
- You are willing to walk with hurting people
- You have a sense of patience for people in process
- You find that most people appreciate and hurting people find you
King
- Your strength is stewarding resources
- You have a strong sense of responsibility for excellence
- You like to plan, architect, and forecast
- You don’t mind making decisions and giving directives
- You find that some people struggle to relate to you
- Jesus is Prophet, Priest, King
- Every man has strengths & weaknesses (like a dominant hand)
- Men need to learn how to be all 3 to be most effective
