Young men today:

Physically weaker:

  • Journal of Hand Therapy – grip strength (good test overall strength) sons less father
  • 2007 Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism – men’s avg testosterone levels dropping by 1% every year since 1980
  • 27% of 17-24 yr old men are too obese to join the military
  • upto 75% do not qualify for military for some reason (physical, mental, emotional, etc.)
  • Over 1/2 young adults — 56% ages 18 to 25 overweight or obese (Johns Hopkins)

Mentally weaker:

-Video games, virtual reality, porn = where beta boys can pretend to be men

Jesus is a Tough Lion and Tender Lamb 

Revelation 5:5-6 “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered…And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain,

WHO? Greatest man in history of world

Time – Man of Millenium

  1. 2000 yrs ago, mom, dad, brothers, 30 years, 3 yrs ministry
  2. Resume – no book, political office, company, wife, kids, travel few hundred miles
  3. Books, paintings, songs, BC/AD – Billions – Church

Napoleon: “I know men and I tell you that Jesus Christ is no mere man. Between Him and every other person in the world there is no possible term of comparison. Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and I have founded empires. But on what did we rest the creation of our genius? Upon force. Jesus Christ founded His empire upon love; and at this hour millions of men would die for Him.”

  • All men fall into 2 categories
    • 1. Jesus Christ
    • 2. All other men

Tough: Lion

  1.  “King of the Jungle”
  2. Eat whatever they want – buffalo, wild hogs, elephants
  3. Live in “prides” or packs mainly females & children – not other grown males

Who sees Jesus as Lion?

Examples

  1. “indignant”; “anger”, “zeal”, “passion”,
  2. Makes a whip, turns money changers tables over @ Temple
  3. Religious leaders

= Who is a Lion?

  1. Your favorite advice is suck it up, get over it, or rub some dirt on it.
  2. The majority of the protein in your diet was killed by you
  3. Your Trinity is Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Sylvester Stallone
  4. You have accepted Chuck Norris into your heart

Tender: Lamb

John 1:29 “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

  1. Run from danger & stick together as a large flock – pacifist
  2. Very social animals – homeless
  3. Eat grass – vegetarians

Who sees Jesus as Lamb?

Examples

  1. “pity”, “grieved”, “loved”, “his heart went out”, “burdened”, #1 emotion = “compassion”
  2. Children
  3. Jairus daughter bedside

= Who is a Lamb?

  1. You love driving your minivan, but you have no children
  2. You watch Lifetime movies, by yourself
  3. When flying you have to check a bag for toiletries
  4. You need a hug right now because I yell a lot

ONLY Lions = too tough

Only tough not tender

  • Domineering, overbearing, exhausting – pushy, scary, angry
  • They hurt their women & children & weaker men

Was Jesus tough? When Jesus returns will He be tough?

= Little girl w/dads hand

 

ONLY Lambs = too tender 

Only tender not tough

  • Passive, avoid conflict, wave the white flag too often, eaten by lions
  • They allow others to hurt their wives & children (avoid conflict)

= Dad & daughter “I didn’t do anything”

CLOSED HAND – Be a Lion – for family, weak, women, children,

OPEN HAND – Be a Lamb – with family, weak, women, children

Fathers & Spiritual Fathers raise sons

  1. Education wants to androgenize you
  2. Media wants to deceive you
  3. Culture wants to castrate you
  4. Advertising wants to addict you
  5. Government wants to tax you
  6. Feminists want to neutralize you
  7. Woke Christianity wants to soften you
  8. God wants to make you as son like His Son for dominion
