18 Jul You Are Invited to Pastors School
In the past year and a half or so, I have had the great honor of traveling and learning. Rather than frequently teaching, I had the joy of doing a lot of listening.
In an effort to grow as a pastor, I traveled around the country to learn from several pastors and churches that I admire. Each had wisdom where I needed to learn, and were kind enough to let me follow them around to observe and listen. As a result, I was honored to stay in some of their homes, eat dinner with their families, get to know their friends, sit in on staff/board meetings and leadership classes, and attend services, prayer meetings, and conferences. What made numerous of these even more meaningful was that my wife Grace joined me, allowing us to learn, pray, and process together.
One of the things I found most helpful in this ongoing season was The Pastors School with Jimmy Evans, Robert Morris, Brady Boyd, and Jimmy Witcher. As I sat in this class in Dallas, I filled my notebook with very helpful, practical, biblical, and healthy insights they shared. Therefore, when an opportunity came to host it at our new church in Scottsdale, I was excited to do so. I love helping pastors get resources to serve their people to the best of their ability.
If you are a pastor, I’d love to invite you to join us. I look forward to sitting in the class with you as we all learn together. Also, who does not want to come to the Phoenix Valley and sit by a pool in November?!
